Trio Napolov | Fridman | Sandee

Passie voor muziek van nu en de oneindige zoektocht naar nieuwe klankwerelden zijn de uitgangspunten die pianiste Laura Sandee, celliste Maya Fridman en slagwerker Konstantyn Napolov verbinden tot een spannend en uniek ensemble.
Door samen te werken met componisten en betrokken te zijn bij het scheppingsproces worden nieuwe composities geboren, nieuwe werelden geopend en verbreden ze de grenzen van het bestaande repertoire.

Sinds de oprichting in september 2018 werkte het trio samen met o.a. David Lang, Aart Strootman, Daniel Wohl, Ina Meredi, Moritz Eggert, Christiaan Dieck en Tobias PM Schneid. In juli 2019 debuteerde het trio bij het Blaricum Music Festival met het Triple Concerto Pierced van David Lang o.l.v. Mathieu Herzog en momenteel hebben ze een tournee door negen Nederlandse provincies en in het buitenland met speciaal voor hen geschreven werken .

Hun debuut-cd “Obscure Atlas” met de voor het Trio geschreven composities van Aart Strootman en Daniel Wohl kreeg hoge internationale recensies en blijft de luisteraars verrassen.

Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam

Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam biedt een podium aan hedendaagse kamermuziek. Nieuwe composities en toonaangevende musici, gecombineerd met actuele onderwerpen. In het Plein Theater krijg je maandelijks op de zondagmiddag de kans om dit unieke concept in intieme sfeer te ervaren, waarbij na afloop ruimte is om in gesprek te gaan met de uitvoerenden. De curatoren en artistiek leiders van Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam zijn componiste Aspasia Nasopoulou en basklarinettiste Fie Schouten. Beide ontvingen (resp. 2019, 2021) de Nieuw Geneco Fair Practice Compositieopdracht Award.

Trio Napolov | Fridman | Sandee

Passion for contemporary music and the endless search for new sound worlds are the starting points that connect pianist Laura Sandee, cellist Maya Fridman and percussionist Konstantyn Napolov into an exciting and unique ensemble. By collaborating with composers and being involved in the creative process, new compositions are born, new worlds open and they broaden the boundaries of the existing repertoire.

Since its foundation in September 2018, the trio has collaborated with, among others, David Lang, Aart Strootman, Daniel Wohl, Ina Meredi, Moritz Eggert, Christiaan Dieck and Tobias PM Schneid. In July 2019, the trio made their debut at the Blaricum Music Festival with David Lang's Triple Concerto Pierced conducted by Mathieu Herzog and currently tour nine Dutch provinces and abroad with works written especially for them. Their debut CD “Obscure Atlas” with the compositions written for the Trio by Aart Strootman and Daniel Wohl received high international reviews and continues to surprise the listeners.

Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam

Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam provides a stage to contemporary chamber music. New compositions and leading musicians, combined with current topics. Every month in the Plein Theater on Sunday afternoons you can experience this unique concept in an intimate atmosphere, where afterwards there is oppurtunity to talk with music lovers, connoisseurs and performers. The curators and artistic directors of Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam are composer Aspasia Nasopoulou and bass clarinetist Fie Schouten. Both received the Nieuw Geneco Fair Practice Composition Commission Award (2019, 2021 respectively).
