Intelligente conversaties over Sex en alles wat je misschien nog niet wist, maar wel hoopte!

Zehra Handan Aydin is een serie gestart in het PLEIN THEATER: Amsterdam Talks Sex! In Amsterdam Talks Sex wil Handan seksualiteit in zijn geheel laten zien, door verschillende mensen te interviewen, met hun blik op dit onderwerp.

In deze editie nodigt Amsterdam Talks Sex dr. Kaouthar Darmoni, the African-Tunisian girl with a mission, uit en gaat in gesprek over de versexualisering van vrouwen in de media; is daar iets in veranderd? Maar ook vragen als 'worden vrouwen met een andere kleur anders bejegend'?

Kaouthar Darmoni is van oorsprong Tunesisch en studeerde af op gender studies aan de Université Paris-Sorbonne en promoveerde aan de Université Lumières Lyon II. Ze woont en werkt sinds vele jaren in Nederland. Ze heeft diverse (academische) publicaties op haar naam staan, bijna twintig jaar ervaring met gender- en media studies en is daarnaast een ervaren ondernemer, spreker over vrouwelijk leiderschap en mediapersoonlijkheid. Ze is actief binnen verschillende internationale vrouwenbewegingen. De afgelopen jaren was ze ook actief als godinnendanscoach, om vrouwen te versterken. Per 1 oktober 2019 is zij de nieuwe directeur-bestuurder van Atria, kennisinstituut voor emancipatie en vrouwengeschiedenis.

Zehra Handan Aydin heeft de afgelopen 20 jaar gewerkt als leidinggevende binnen verschillende organisaties. De laatste 3 jaar is ze getraind als sex, love and relationship coach voor vrouwen over de hele wereld.

Handan geeft trainingen en workshops. Ze heeft ook de connectie gevonden met natuurlijke schoonheid door oefeningen voor je gezicht, als een weerwoord voor de fashion trend van botox and fillers. Werken met het lichaam, met je mind en voeding zijn onderwerpen die ze al een lange tijd bestudeert. Veel vrouwen laten zich labellen vanuit buitenaf, terwijl zij juist zoekt naar de innerlijke kracht, met natuurlijke oplossingen om je schoonheid maar ook je sexyness te vinden.

Zehra Handan Aydin has started a series in the PLEIN THEATER: Amsterdam Talks Sex! In Amsterdam Talks Sex, Handan wants to show sexuality in its entirety, by interviewing different people with their view on this topic. In this edition Amsterdam Talks Sex invites Dr. Kaouthar Darmoni, the African-Tunisian girl with a mission, to discuss the sexualisation of women in the media; has anything changed in that? But also questions such as 'are women of a different color treated differently'?

Dr Kaouthar Darmoni leaves Tunisia at a young age, she wanted to feel more free as a woman. She went on and studied gender studies at the university of Sorbonne in Paris. Then soon to leave to California and coming back to Lyon to obtain her PhD in Gender Studies and Media. As she describes it herself, she also saw that women in Western Europe were not that free as she had thought they were. This all led to her mission in teaching women to be their authentic self.

This evening we will be diving deeper in what she has experienced.  Does she see a change in the last few years and what are some solutions. Women sexualised in the media, but doe she see a difference in dark women versus white women? 

Zehra Handan Aydin has worked as a manager within various organizations for the past 20 years. For the last 3 years she has been trained as a sex, love and relationship coach for women all over the world. Handan provides training and workshops. She has also found the connection with natural beauty through facial exercises as a rebuttal to the fashion trend of botox and fillers. Working with the body, with your mind and nutrition are topics she has been studying for a long time. Many women allow themselves to be labeled from the outside, while looking for the inner strength, with natural solutions to find your beauty but also your sexyness.
