Commemoration May 4 LIVE: Taptoe on the square by Gijs Levelt

On May 4 at 19:58 Gijs Levelt, the trumpet player of the Amsterdam Klezmer Band and resident of Amsterdam East, played the taptoe from above the roofs of the Sajetplein. In collaboration with the fire brigade, the trumpet player was lifted 24 meters above the ground where he heralded the two-minute silence.

We hereby respond to the call of the National Committee for May 4 and 5 to play the taptoe signal during the National Commemoration. With this we want to symbolically let you, the neighbors, the neighborhood and Amsterdam East know that we are connected during this important national 2 minute silence.
