EAST& Sajetplein
On Saturday 26 March, EAST&, the new pop-up culture center in Amsterdam East, is organizing a program for locals on the Sajetplein. Culture makers from East Amsterdam gather in and around the Plein Theater with workshops for children, performances by spoken word poets from Poetry Circle Nowhere, singer-songwriters and a little whirligig for the little ones. The square is freely accessible and the entire neighborhood from young to old is welcome!
The Queering Puppets Festival Amsterdam will also take place on this day in the Plein Theater. This new festival gives the stage to genre-transcending forms of visual theater and puppetry. On Saturday, as part of this festival, there’s a children's performance (6+) De Kleine Prins by Houtje Touwtje Theater, the act Last Chance by Tim Velraeds, an installation by Cat Smits and the exhibition Paperwork by Artcollective Two Hands.
