Are you looking for an inspiring location for your next performance, rehearsal or event? The Plein Theater offers an intimate theater venue in the heart of Amsterdam, perfect for both professional and amateur artists.

Our doors are mainly open for rental on Mondays and Tuesdays and occasionally on Sunday evenings.

Are you a professional artist, creative local resident or facilitator with inspiring ideas for cultural initiatives and looking for a space for your artistic or creative activities, such as montages, rehearsals and training in music, theater, dance, visual art, storytelling or hybrid art forms? Let's work together! We are happy to think along with you and offer customized rates depending on your plans and needs.

We also rent out the theatre for talks, symposia, rituals and performances. Our centrally located venue in Amsterdam East offers an intimate atmosphere, professional facilities, and a wide range of options with a capacity of 79-93 seats. Sound and lighting technology, manned bar, and, if desired, also support with ticket sales and light and sound technique. There are excellent public transport connections and paid parking options. (Parking is free on Sunday!)
