Do you like theater and are you interested in history? Then sign up quickly and take part in our theater performance!

Every year Plein Theater creates a performance for Theater Na de Dam Jong. On the evening of National Remembrance Day on May 4, theater makers and youngsters throughout the Netherlands are committed to making this day extra special. As a theater in Amsterdam East, in the middle of a neighborhood full of (Jewish) history, we have been participating in Theater Na de Dam from the start and we commemorate and celebrate together with the neighborhood and the city.

For the 2025 performance, we are looking for youngsters between 14 and 20 years old. Under the guidance of theater maker Justin van der Veen, you will delve into the history of Amsterdam East during the Second World War. This research forms the basis for creating a theatrical performance, which will play on location in Amsterdam East on May 4th and May 5th..

This youth project is a collaboration between Plein Theater and Theater Na de Dam.
