Intimate concerts for the adventurous listener

With love for experiment and innovation, Plein Theater presents Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam. Brand-new compositions performed by young and leading musicians form the core of this concert series dedicated to contemporary music. Bass clarinetist Fie Schouten and composer Aspasia Nasopoulou curate the series, which can be enjoyed on Sunday afternoons each month—usually at Plein Theater itself, and occasionally at other locations.

Since 2019, the series has been based at the Plein Theater, an intimate concert hall for performers, creators and audiences, for music that is not meant to be a mass-product.
