Facilities

The Plein Theater in Amsterdam Oost boasts a unique, intimate, and homely atmosphere. The theater features a authentic 7.8 x 7.8 m² theatre with a podium and 79 seats (expandable to 93 seats with a row of seats in front of the stands). A piano is available (Schimmel Model 130T Traditional, use by arrangement).

Behind the auditorium is a dressing room for performers with mirrors, a toilet, shower, sink, ironing equipment, and coffee and tea making facilities.

A spacious café with a staffed bar and terrace adjacent to the theater is available for the public.

Technical information

If you plan to use our theater, we ask that you submit a technical checklist, risk assessment, and lighting plan well in advance. The technique must comply with our safety regulations.
