Opening hours
In the former canteen of the Amstel Brewery, you’ll now find our cozy café. Whether at the bar, on the couch, or at a table, there’s always opportunity for a chat, a reflection, or an unexpected encounter.
From may we're open from an hour before the program starts, until 01:00 at the latest. The summerterrace is open until 23:00.
Delicious food is available upon request! Our kitchen is only open with (sufficient) reservations and/or catering for groups.

Ticket sales
Online
Tickets are available for purchase online on our agenda.
Purchased tickets are non-refundable.
The box office opens one hour before the performance. We will scan your e-ticket, which you can present on a printout or phone upon entry. If applicable, you may be asked for your CJP, city pass, student pass, Podiumpass or We Are Public pass.

Our telephone reservation line is generally available Tuesday through Thursday from 13:00 to 17:00 at 020-6654568.
Sales at the box office
Our box office opens one hour before the performance. Payment for (reserved) tickets can only be made by debit card. Please collect reserved tickets no later than fifteen minutes before the performance begins. After this time, the reservation will be cancelled.
Discounts, memberships and promotions
The Plein Theater offers a standard discount for all youngsters up to 27 years old. Stadspas holders with a green dot pay €2.50. You can attend some performances with the We Are Public pass. We also collaborate with Uitpas ánd Podiumpas. You must always show your discount pass when checking your ticket, and the discount applies to one person per pass. City pass, We Are Public pass, Uitpas and Podiumpas need to be scanned at the box office at least a quarter prior to the performance.
Accessibility
Everyone is welcome at Plein Theater. Our theater is wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator and a disabled toilet. Please contact us in advance, as in exceptional circumstances our program may not be wheelchair accessible.
Directions
Public Transport
From the Weesperplein metro stop, you can walk to Sajetplein. Tram lines 1, 3, 7, and 19 also stop within walking distance of the theater.
Car and Parking
Sajetplein is easily accessible by car, but paid parking is in effect in the area from Monday to Saturday. Parking is free on Sundays.
- Theater area: Monday to Saturday: €4.00 per hour (limited spaces).
- OLVG parking garage: open 24/7: €4.00 per hour.
