JUNE 10TH // Dúplum Duo
Dúplum duo is inspired by modern poetry and contemporary performances of lieder / art song. Using only voice and viola, Björk Níelsdóttir and Thora Sveinsdóttir evoke a simple, unpolished intimacy. The duo decided to join forces in 2017 after having toured with the likes of Björk, Sigurrós, Florence and the Machine and Stargaze. The music they perform is built on simple forms and dissonant harmonies in which the voice and viola are tightly intertwined. Dúplum is currently working on their first CD.
