Feel at home in our café/restaurant next to the Plein Theater on the Sajetplein in Amsterdam East! 

Enjoy each other’s company inside, or outside on our covered terrace. For children there is a playground right next to the terrace.

Inside, it’s warm and cosy in our souterrain, built in 1871 as employees’ canteen for the former Amstel Brewery complex on the Mauritskade.
 

Start summer season with Peggy's Food Menu

From April 25, you can diner with us again from Thursday to Sunday - on program days. Peggy takes over the kitchen and makes something delicious every week. In addition to the Surinamese bites that have already been a great success, she will also provide a delicious menu of the week.

Our weekly menu, consisting of a starter (soup or salad), a main course (meat or vegetarian) and a dessert, can be ordered as a whole, but separately as well. Our meat is halal. You can take it with you, but we reckon it's more pleasent if you stay and eat at our place!

Connect offline, by joining the table and eat together!

Every now and then we organize PleinTabled around cultural activities, where we enjoy world cuisine and discuss current themes. We heartly invite neighbours and interested parties to join us for a meal and join the conversation. Our source of inspiration is the rich diversity of cultures that live side by side in Amsterdam East. Do you want to bring your extraordinary foodculture into the spotlights? We are open to guest chefs and ideas for activities around art, culture & food.
