BREDEWEGFESTIVAL

Every year the Bredeweg Festival takes place in the Watergraafsmeer on the days around King's Day. Young and old sell the most beautiful things at the flea market. Dozens of street artists, musicians and theater groups perform there. There is an Opera on the Street and even a Children's Opera. There is plenty to do for children; floating in the whirligig, circus, fair, children's shows, face painting and much more. And of course plenty of delicious food and drinks.

The Bredewegfestival is organized by the neighborhood, for the neighborhood.

EAST&

EAST& is the Pop-Up Culture Platform of Amsterdam East. Not a cultural building made of stone, but a nomadic network organization that aims to establish cooperation and connections between residents, cultural and social institutions and the many diverse, talented makers in the district. From 2022, EAST& will tour the very different neighborhoods of Amsterdam East and organize cultural activities with and for the neighborhood. Founding partners Plein Theater, Framer Framed, De Rode Loper and School and Production House Nowhere always seek collaboration with other partners from the art-rich district.

KIDS WORKSHOP + PARADE

Pretvormer

Pretvormer was founded in early 2011 by Nina de Jong and Nena Duinmeyer. Under the name Pretvormer, large neighborhood projects are organized that culminate in a parade, parades at festivals and other festivities, workshops for children and adults and, when it is dark enough, fairytale light parades.

LIVE MUSIC

Josh & Robs

Josh&Robs, a dynamic music duo from Amsterdam. Josh&Robs makes music with hip-hop as a compass. Without fear of other genres; From pop to love songs. Over the past two years they have combined their diverse talents, resulting in an unforgettable music show. Their performances are a mix of spontaneous freestyling to suggestions from the audience, energetic jumping with a (sweating mass/) enthusiastic crowd, humorous sing-alongs and intimate, small performances that give you the feeling of being in their living room.

Roda da Holanda

Roda da Holanda represents Brazilian samba, dancing and connecting with the music and each other. What does that look like? The musicians sit around a table and you as a listener stand at the table among countless others who are drawn to the stirring rhythms and melancholic sounds. Amid the dancing, laughing, singing and clapping crowd, there is only one thing to do: participate! This way you are, as it were, inside the music.

Lead vocals: Femke Smit | Gitaar/lead vocals: Breno Viricimo | Bas/lead vocals: Nathan Klumperbeek | Cavaquinho: Marijn van der Linden| Bas/zang: Nathan Klumperbeek | Percussie: Léo da Vila Matilde | Sax & fluit: Lucas Santana | Drums: Vincent Spitters

Gianna Tam & La Banda

In her six-piece band, Gianna Tam not only plays percussion, but she also takes care of the vocals. It is therefore no surprise that she is often labeled as 'the Dutch Sheila E.' With La Banda she presents her new album Latina Empire, a vibrant mix of timba, Zouk, reggaeton, New York and Cuban salsa, infused with contemporary pop. - and hip-hop beats.

This is a spectacle not to be missed!

Voice: Gianna Tam | Keys: Laura Beatrix | Trumpet: Oscar ‘Chucky’ Cordero | Bass: Samuel Ruiz | Percussion: Erik Larrea | Drums: Urvin Doornkamp
