Tussen kerst en oud en nieuw organiseren Plein Theater & She Who Makes Noise een avondvullend programma rondom de visuele livemuziek performance Canvas. Vier eindejaarsweek met ons in feestelijke sfeer met een heerlijk Fancy Streetfood Diner, de voorstelling Canvas en een knallend feestje na elke voorstelling!
Het thema van de laatste dagen van 2023 in Plein Theater is WHITE/WIT. De kleur van licht, een nieuw begin, vrede en winter. Het nieuwe jaar in het vooruitzicht, onbeschreven en in te vullen als een wit doek. Op stralend witte tafellakens zal een vegan drie-gangen diner worden geserveerd, waarmee we deze festiviteit met jou willen vieren! Aan de muren hangt een expositie van beeldend kunstenaar Jalinka Gressmann en na elke voorstelling is er de gelegenheid om te dansen met diverse DJ’s bij de bar. En vergeet de dresscode niet; 'Something White'!
CANVAS
Als een witte canvas kwamen we op deze wereld nog onbeschreven, zonder print en nog zonder kleur, beschilderde elke noot, aanraking en elke geur een herinnering op mijn naakte schildersdoek. Laag voor laag tot dat elke centimeter benut is.
In het visuele concert ‘Canvas’ nemen beeld en geluid in deze magische combinatie het publiek mee op een reis in het onderbewuste van een onbekende individu.
De eclectische livemuziek performance waarin invloeden van verschillende muziekstijlen zal passeren, wordt uitgevoerd door She Who Makes Noise ondersteund door een 4 koppige band. She Who Makes Noise neemt de toeschouwer mee In de levensloop van een hoofdpersonage, een tijdlijn van verschillende gebeurtenissen, herinneringen en emoties .
Het begin van het leven, een eerste verliefdheid, zelfreflectie, de dood, thema’s en melodieën waar we ons mee kunnen verbinden en herkenning in kunnen vinden, maar waar soms nog taboe op berust of soms simpelweg het feit dat het leven zo snel gaat dat we er niet lang bij stil kunnen staan. Laten we opnieuw beginnen en laat het verhaal zich ontvouwen op het witte canvasdoek.

She Who Makes Noise
She Who Makes Noise is een Amsterdams muziekcollectief, opgericht door een dynamisch creatief trio. De groep bestaat altijd uit deze drie leden, maar de groep verandert altijd organisch van samenstelling bij ieder nieuw muziek project. She Who Makes Noise vindt dat de muziek een prominentere plek moet innemen dan het imago van de artiesten zelf. Vanuit die gedachtegoed wordt de kern van She Who Makes Noise nooit volledig weergegeven in hun foto's, video’s en op het podium, om de gelijkheid door middel van anonimiteit te behouden en ruimte te creëren voor verschillende artiesten om deel uit te maken van hun muzikale reis. Hun beelden zijn extreem helder, ze hebben geen kleur en zijn erg dromerig, ze zijn als een gloednieuw canvas dat klaar is om door andere kunstenaars te worden beschilderd.

Celebrate the end of the year week in a festive atmosphere with visual art, a delicious vegan dinner, the CANVAS performance and a fantastic party after each performance!
The theme of the last days of 2023 in Plein Theater is WHITE/WHITE. The color of light, new beginnings, peace and winter. The new year in prospect, blank and to be filled in like a blank canvas. A tasty dinner will be served on sparkling white tablecloths, with which we want to celebrate this festivity with you! On December 27, 29 and 30 we will go nuts with Dykes on Decks after every performance until late hours. And don't forget the dress code; Something White!
CANVAS
We came into this world like a white canvas, still unwritten, without print and without color, every note, touch and every scent painted a memory on my naked canvas. Layer by layer until every centimeter has been used.
In the magical combination of image and sound the visual concert 'Canvas', take the audience on a journey into the subconscious of an unknown individual.
The eclectic live music performance in which influences from different music styles will pass through, will be performed by She Who Makes Noise supported by a 4-piece band. She Who Makes Noise takes the viewer through the life of a main character, a timeline of different events, memories and emotions. The beginning of life, a first crush, self-reflection, death, themes and melodies that we can connect with and find recognition in, but which are sometimes still taboo or sometimes simply the fact that life moves so fast that we can't dwell on it for long. Let's start again and let the story unfold on the white canvas.

She Who Makes Noise
She Who Makes Noise is an Amsterdam music collective, founded by a dynamic creative trio. The group always consists of these three members, but the group always changes organically with each new music project. She Who Makes Noise believes that the music should take a more prominent place than the image of the artists themselves. Because of this philosophy are the core members ofShe Who Makes Noise never fully portrayed in their photographs, video's and on stage to preserve equality through anonymity and create space for various artists to be part of their musical journey. Their images are extremely clear, they have no color and are very dreamy, they are like a brand new canvas ready to be painted by other artists.
