Tarmo Johannes (Fluit solo)
Tarmo Johannes (1976, Tallinn) is een Estse fluitist die zich voornamelijk toelegt op hedendaagse muziekuitvoeringen. Hij is oprichter en leider van ensembles U: (fluit-klarinet-viool-cello-piano www.uuu.ee) en Resonabilis (stem-fluit-cello-kanaal www.resonabilis.com), lid en heeft een aantal concerten gespeeld met solofluitrepertoire met groot succes. Sinds 2019 is hij lid van de Estse Elektronisch muziekensemble.
De afgelopen jaren is Tarmo Johannes ook actief bezig geweest met geluidssynthese en programmering. Zijn voornaamste interesse is het creëren van algoritmisch gecontroleerde stukken voor live optredens, vaak met deelname van het publiek. Sinds 2015 is Tarmo Johannes de belangrijkste ontwikkelaar van CsoundQt. Tarmo Johannes geeft fluitles aan de Tallinn Muziek- en Balletschool (Estland) en verschillende vakken gerelateerd aan nieuwe muziek aan de Esonian Academie voor Muziek en Theater.
T R O M P O Ensemble
T R O M P O is een nieuw muziekensemble dat zich toelegt op de uitvoering van de muziek van nu. T R O M P O bestaat uit Carlos Anez (fluit), Marthe Lasthuis (viool) en Laura Nygren (contrabas). De drie ontmoetten elkaar tijdens hun studie en verblijf in Nederland en kregen een band door de liefde voor samen spelen, vreemde en mooie geluiden maken en de grenzen van hun instrumenten verleggen.
De naam T R O M P O is afgeleid van "thumb" in het Esperanto, een internationale hulptaal. Als alternatief is el trompo een dreidelachtig speelgoed dat populair is in Midden- en Zuid-Amerika. El Trompo kan ook verwijzen naar een soort kegelvormig vlees, vergelijkbaar met kebab, en gebruikt op taco's. T R O M P O music koos de naam om hun multiculturele, altijd draaiende en evoluerende benadering van muziek te belichamen.
Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam
Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam biedt een podium aan hedendaagse kamermuziek. Avontuurlijke en kleinschalige uitvoeringen, nieuwe composities en toonaangevende musici; in Plein Theater krijg je maandelijks de kans op dit unieke concept in intieme sfeer te ervaren. De serie biedt de mogelijkheid te reflecteren op de huidige tijd en vormt zo een laboratiorium voor de klank van vandaag. De curatoren en artistiek leiders van Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam zijn componiste Aspasia Nasopoulou en basklarinettiste Fie Schouten.

Tarmo Johannes (Flute solo)
Tarmo Johannes (1976, Tallinn) is an Estonian flutist dedicated primarily to performing contemporary music. He is founder and leader of ensembles U: (flute-clarinet-violin-cello piano www.uuu.ee ) and Resonabilis (voice-flute-cello-kannel www.resonabilis.com ), member and has played a number of concerts of solo flute repertoire with great success. Since 2019 he is member of the Estonian Electronic Music Ensemble.
In recent years Tarmo Johannes has been actively engaged also with sound synthesis and programming. His main interest is creating algorithmically controlled pieces for live performance, often with audience’s participation. Since 2015 Tarmo Johannes is the main devloper of CsoundQt. Tarmo Johannes teaches flute at Tallinn Music and Ballet School (Estonia) and different subjects related to new music at the Esonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
T R O M P O Ensemble
T R O M P O is a new music ensemble dedicated to the performance of the music of now. T R O M P O is made up of Carlos Anez (Flute), Marthe Lasthuis (Violin), and Laura Nygren (Double Bass). The three met while studying and living in the Netherlands and bonded over a love of playing together, making strange and beautiful sounds, and stretching the limits of their instruments.
The name T R O M P O derives from "thump" in Esperanto, an international auxiliary language. Alternatively el trompo is dreidel-like toy popular in Central and South America. El Trompo can also refer to a type of cone shaped meat, similar to kebab, and used on tacos. T R O M P O music chose the name to embody their multicultural, ever spinning and evolving approach to music.
Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam
Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam offers a stage to contemporary chamber music. Adventurous and small-scale performances, new compositions and leading musicians; at Plein Theater you can experience this unique concept in an intimate atmosphere every month. The series offers the opportunity to reflect on the present time and thus forms a laboratory for today's sound. The curators and artistic directors of Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam are composer Aspasia Nasopoulou and bass clarinetist Fie Schouten.
